Section One was a 2nd level in the league system of Swedish football between 1987 and 1999. It was replaced by Superettan in 2000. It comprised Twenty-eight Swedish football teams in both separate leagues, Norra (Northern) & Södra (Southern), except for the 1991 and 1992 seasons which comprised 32 teams in quaternity leagues (adding Östra (Eastern) & Västra (American)). Section One might link to to Swedish football once agawithin in 2006, as a recently third level, cut down Division 2 a level.
